چکیده
One of the world's largest concentrations of sediment-hosted stratiform zinc-lead-barite deposits is (Figure 1). The largest and most developed of these is located in the Gataga area of northern British Columbia the CirqueiSouth Cirque deposit, with estimated geological reserves of 38.5 million tonnes averaging 8.0% Zn, 2.2% Pb and 47.2 gitonne Ag at Cirque and gitonne Ag at South Cirque (Maclntyre, 1992). The 15.5 million tonnes of 6.9% zinc, 1.4% lead and 32 Driftpile deposit, located 80 kilometres north of Cirque, by Archer, Catbro and Associates and from 1993 to the has been explored and drilled extensively in 1978-1982

متن کاملGeological, fluid inclusion and isotopic characteristics of the Gardaneshir Zn–Pb deposit, Central Iran
Gardaneshir Pb–Zn deposit is hosted by dolomitic carbonates which is located in the SW Ardestan, central Iran. Ore body is stratabound type in this deposit. Primary ores in this type are composed of sphalerite, galena, barite and quartz with massive, banded, veined and disseminated structures. Evaluation of ore-grade at the Gardaneshir Pb-Zn deposit, based on chemical analysis which indicates a...

This papaer reports on mapping in a portion of NTS 94G/4W (Mt. McCusker west half), conducted during the month of July 1998 (Figure 1). This area, only accessible by air, lies 80 kilometres due west of the small settlement of Pink Mountain, 151 kilometres north of Fort St. John on Highway 97. The mapping program is part of the Central Foreland NATMAP Project, led by Mike Cecile of the Geologica...

The Ancient Pacific Margin NATMAP project (Thompson et al., 2000) is a collaboration between the British Columbia Geological Survey Branch, the Geological Survey of Canada and the Yukon Geoscience Office. It aims to advance understanding of the Cordillera-long belt of complexly deformed pericratonic rocks that made up the Pacific margin of North America in Paleozoic to early Mesozoic time (Figu...
متن کاملMineralogy and Geochemistry Studies of the Sorkheh Sediment-hosted Stratiform Copper (SSC) Deposit, NW Iran
The Sorkheh deposit in northwestern Iran exhibits several readily visible general characteristics of sediment-hosted stratiform copper (SSC) mineralization. It consists of fine-grained disseminated base-metal sulfides within gray sandstones (gray beds, the basal whitish Miocene sandstone and shallow-water) that overlie a thick sequence of red beds (Miocene Upper Red Formation). The host gray be...
